The Reliance Method™ is a unique outpatient treatment that combines the medication Suboxone, with counseling, to help adults and teens recover from addiction to prescription medication or illegal drugs. We have an exceptional success rate based on our committment to meeting the needs of each patient individually.  

Comfortable Setting: Individual medical and counseling appointments are held in our office at the 450 Sutter Street Medical Building near Union Square in San Francisco. It’s a safe and supportive environment.

Individualized Treatment: Our highly-experienced professional staff works with each patient individually, and tailors treatment to meet the patient’s needs in a positive, productive way.We meet the patient where they are, today, and support them as they move forward, one step at-a time.

Outpatient Model: Patients continue daily life and meet obligations of family, job, or school with minimal disruption. There is no "going away" into a residential rehabilitation facility.

Confidentiality: We schedule appointments to be discreet and convenient. Also, we understand out patients concerns regarding confidentiality. As a result, there are no group therapy sessions in our treatment model.  All medical and counseling care is provided in one-on-one individual sessions.

Affordability: The Reliance Method™ is designed to meet the needs of working families and avoid the high cost of a residential rehabilitation facility. We also assist patients with the insurance reimbursement process.

Unlimited Medical Access: Our initial 12-week program provides the patient with unlimited access to our physicians and counselors. This is unprecedented in outpatient addiction treatment.

Convenience: Our office is located near Union Square/Downtown San Francisco near bus and BART lines, near the Stockton & Sutter Street parking garage.

Medical Staff and Facility: The Reliance Center™ has highly qualified and licensed addiction treatment professionals on staff. Our Medical Director is an active member of the California Society of Addiction Medicine (CSAM), and has practiced in the field of addiction medicine for 27 years.

Treatment Philosophy: The Reliance Method™ does not necessarily require a patient to abstain from all other drugs or alcohol in order to enter treatment to recover from addiction to a specific drug. We never terminate therapy due to continued drug use. Rather, we regard it as a reason for more intensive patient care, not less.
