Alcohol abuse affects everyone connected to the abuser. It is emotionally draining and frightening if you don’t know which way to turn. The Reliance Method™ helps patients recover from alcohol abuse and dependence.

The Reliance Method™ treats each patient individually, using medication and therapy. Our medical and clinical directors are highly qualified professionals. Confidentiality is ensured because treatment is out-patient at a doctor’s office, and each patient works privately with their doctor and therapist.

Many people, for many reasons, are never able to feel comfortable or connected with AA as a basis of recovery, nor are they able or willing to be completely abstinent in order to address their abuse issues. At Reliance Center™ we understand this, and do not make attendance or commitment to 12 step programs a requirement of treatment. At Reliance Center™ we’re focusing on the most life threatening behavior first (like uncontrolled, or binge drinking). This approach is called “harm reduction”, and we are the first and only program here in San Francisco to offer it to individuals engaging in widely varying patterns of alcohol abuse. Reliance Center™ provides programs for teens as well as adults.
