Reliance Center™ is an affordable, outpatient program serving adults and teens living in the Bay area.  While our focus is on treating addiction dependence on prescription medication, we also treat the widest array of addictions including dependence on illicit drugs.  We are deeply committed to helping patients suffering from chronic pain who have found themselves addicted to their pain medication.  Our core philosophy is to provide a discreet, comfortable environment in which our patients can experience confidential, patient-centered services. 

There are many aspects of our  program and philosophy that differentiate us from other addiction treatment facilities.  These include: 

•   Outpatient Model:  Allows clients to maintain their family, job and school obligations with minimum disruption to their routines.  An important feature in these economic times where job security is critical.

•   Affordability:  Reliance Center™ was established to specifically meet the needs of working families who would never be able to afford the high cost of residential rehab facilities.  Our staff also works with clients to assist them in the insurance reimbursement process.

•   Unlimited Medical Access: Our initial 12-week program provides unlimited access to our physicians, which is unprecedented.

• Convenience:  Conveniently located near bus and BART lines and with inexpensive parking nearby, Reliance Center™ offers flexible appointments in a well established medical office building.

• Confidentiality:  All clients' information is strictly confidential.  As a medical facility, Reliance Center™ is bound by very strict doctor/patient confidentiality laws. The center provides a safe, comfortable place to receive medical and counseling care.

• Treatment Philosophy:  At Reliance Center™, we are willing to address one addiction issue at a time.  Reliance Center™ recognizes that patients often are willing to confront a single issue that has become a problem, like prescription pill use, however, they do not necessarily want to deal with other issues.  For example, many patients feel that if they never had a drinking problem, that they should not have to give up alcohol while addressing their pill issues.  Often these patients will refuse to come into treatment at all, if the treatment center requires that they become completely abstinent. 
  

At Reliance Center™, we do not require complete abstinence in order to enter treatment, and patients are never terminated on the basis of continued drug use.  On the contrary, we see continued drug use as an indication that more intensive patient contact is called for, not less.
